What a lovely delightful scene Robert, whales are beautiful, you are so lucky to have seen them in this setting and going to such an iconic place

I'd give a lot to see a scene like this - whether I could paint it is something else again. Rembrandt indigo by the way is one of the very few watercolour indigos I'd use - it can do some very peculiar things in other ranges, such as providing a deep, dark wash when wet then fading back to almost nothing when dry. Viridian and Crimson/Permanent Rose is another good combination.

hi this turned out beatifully for a limited pallete amazing work xx

Wonderful painting! Very dramatic and so beautifully painted.

Thank you all for your cooments, Ros, yes we were lucky Robert, I did give a lot(financially) but it was a special occasion holiday, I've never had a problem with Rembrandt paints Paula/Thea, thank you for the kind words.

Limited pallet of veridian and indigo (rembrandt paints) on Saunders Waterford paper. This was a painting I did quite a few years ago after seeing these majestic creatures while travelling on the inside passage between Vancouver Island and the Mainland on route to Alaska.
