Thanks for your kind and appreciative comment William. That's encouraging as I've said I don't normally paint so many figures. Only one figure needs to be out of proportion to upset the whole painting.

The Attenborough Fields in south Hertfordshire are a woodland trust site and is beautiful in any season. In January 2010 after a fresh layer of snow local neighbours turned out padded out in their winter gear to enjoy the day. This scene was painted in oil on canvas and influenced by the old masters style of painting. I am pleased with the result as I do not normally paint figures, especially so many in my landscapes.
