Oil on linen canvas. The scene was painted using a photo I took in January 2011 in Attenborough Fields, Bushey, Hertfordshire in heavy snowfall. I painted the scene realiising that without a colourful figure in the foreground it looked like something was missing, so the figure was added after. I used white oil colour diluted with turpentine and linseed oil to splatter the snow.
