Heh! You know how to cheer us up, don't you? But I like it (mind you: I would...!) A bit of gloom, twigs, encroaching ivy, old stone - these are a few of my favourite things..

So atmospheric! And the vivid green of the foliage is such a beautiful contrast to the bruised sky.

An impression on a damp, drizzly day of a corner of an old graveyard in West Cornwall. ( recently visited) I have tried to exploit the various qualities of acrylic paint, employing impasto and watercolour techniques to convey the impression of the drizzly conditions. On 400gsm watercolour paper.
