Appreciate your comments I was trying to get the cold stark effect with the bare tree. I think a winter painting of this nature should make you shiver when you see it.

Painted during last weekends Atelier Interactive Acrylic workshop I run at the Malham Field Study Centre for Chroma Europe. It was not actually covered in snow but the cold wind brought this image to mind and even though we where working in a nice warm studio I felt able to develop this winter tale with the participents on the course. All had a really good time and did lots of good paintings. This was one of the many Atelier special event weekend I run throughout the year.
