Library with a spiral staircase

Comments

I'll give you ten for detail, good work and patience Tim.Well done.

Thanks Jim - a lot of books, apart from anything else!

Oh wow Tim, I do so admire your skills.

Excellent work Tim! Many years ago I worked in the Science Museum Library in London. There historic library, with tiers and stairs was demolished and a modern one built instead. Criminal act. The beautiful old one can be seen in either "The Ipcress File" or "Italian Job" (Can't remember which).

What a great place, and a fine drawing too.

Thanks Diane, Linda and Lewis! Yes they lost a lot of character when they moved but I guess they got a bigger space. How awful that they demolished rather than at least re-purposed that beautiful sounding library space in London. Will check out those films!

Fabulously painted. Great detail and lots to interest, masses of different perspectives too, clever!

Great painting with excellent detail. Thought I point out that the book third in on the top right hand shelf is in the wrong place.

Thanks Heather and Paul - and lol Paul!

I so admire your tenacity in achieving such detailed scenes, which always appear to be organised chaos and beautifully painted.

Real tour de force. Well done.

Thanks so much Carole, Paul and Maureen!

Very attractive. It draws you to go into the details of the place happily.

Stunning work. This really captures the ambience of a library and really draws the viewer in.

Fascinating detail! Great drawing

Thanks very much Georgiana, Seok and Thalia for your nice comments!

Loving your library interiors! Great sense of design/composition and full of interest!

Thanks so much Petra and Derek!

Another library interior - one I did in the 90s. This lovely library doesn’t exist anymore, the books were moved into a new building and this room was re-purposed, so this was kind of like a souvenir!
