Attractive almost abstract painting, lovely mossy stones. The water is the same colour here in Derbyshire with the peaty content.

Like this, your composition and colours are good, and the values are well observed. Perhaps the water needs a little more sparkle...would that help? Or not?

Thank you for the lovely comments - Ruth its a difficult one - your question on the water needs a little more sparkle - to be honest i have that to learn - i copied what i saw - and the water was crystal clear and could see to the bottom - Carole i dont know whether it is peaty or iron ore but the bottom is a deep burnt orange -

Hi Ros P - i returned to this website today - and found some old art works that I put on here in 2009 - thank you for your comments they do encourage one - time has passed and I am now studying for a BA Hons in fine art but I hope to be able to upload some new works - as it was always a pleasure reading feedback on this site.
