Although very different this is immediately recognisable as your work Thalia. I love the mixture of horizontals and verticals and your brushstrokes. Had to look hard to see the ducks though.

Yup! I didn't want to labour them in case they ran away, Lol! I so enjoyed painting this, it's on our bedroom wall now, a place of honour!

From a photo I took whilst on holiday in Norfolk, I have painted this scene before in water colour. We were fascinated by the gander and his protective feelings for his duck wife and their tiny gosduckling baby! So cute! I really enjoyed doing something completely different from Gozo! Much easier to paint this in oils than wc, using a very different palette from my normal Mediterranean colours! Worked mainly with a knife, interestinghow it took me back immediately to the little brook by 'our' cottage, kindly loaned to us by a diving friend!
