Quite superb Thalia, you have captured the area so well. Who could fail not to be inspired by Seago.

Lovely, Thalia. The sky is fantastic.

I like this, Thalia. Big sky and wide open space with far horizons, lovely.

What generous comments, Alan, Seth and Lewis, you are all very kind but I feel it's a bit of a cheat, as it's a more or less direct copy of his beautiful painting, just to see if I could get as close as possible to his work. He is such an inspirational artist, especially plein air! thank you very much!

Superb work with the brush Thalia. I see so much in there.

Very Seago. Nicely done, like you I love the big East Anglian skies.

You have captured Seago's style here so well Thalia, certainly not cheating as you have credited the source. I'm sure Seago did a fair bit of copying of his favourite artists in his younger days.

Wonderfully painted landscape, gorgeous colours too.

Superb, just love that sky, and the feeling of space.

That's a fantastic sky Thalia.

One of my favourite artists also Thalia, I’ve been known to copy one or two of his paintings, I think learnt something from the process. This is a super rendition of one of his Norfolk scenes.

That looks so good Thalia, super sky!

Thank you, Maureen, Fiona and Margaret, yes, I really owe him so much, he's taught me a lot, for both English and Mediterranean scenes

Edward Seago's work has been a huge influence on my techniques, both in oils and watercolours. This is hanging in my hall as more inspiration especially for cloud scapes. I love Norfolk, and have visited twice, and actually managed to check out this precise scene, which has not changed much at all since he painted it about 40 years ago.
