Thank you, Louise and Richard, yes, I find if I draw first I get tight , so I usually go straight in with paint. Have done a little more to this, to sharpen up the figures and make them read more clearly. I will post the finished piece later.

Plain air paintings are often so beautifully fresh and spontaneous as in this one. You really have caught the light and atmosphere.

Can't believe I've been out twice in a row to paint plein air! This is a second take on the It Tokk Waiting Tables water colour, and plein air really makes a huge difference to my work. Again there were no people near me, and I will address the five figures later today, hopefully making them more prominent. This is painted on Bockingford Hot Pressed, very fast, I was painting for just an hour, and will adjust the mistakes and re post it later.
