My friend Petra, who lives on Gozo, has a daughter who lives in Canada. She is staying with her mum at the moment. Petra asked me to paint a small watercolour portrait whilst she is here so that she can keep a memory of her in Gozo. Carmen is very tall assertive and majestic, which is what I hoped to capture. Painted very loosely on Eco Khadi paper, which has a mind of its own!!!
