I like the raw sienna and burnt umber pigments for the stone-work and the spiral dome, it really shows the lush green and yellow leafy in abundance. The pale blue sky gives a feeling of ascension.

I havw spent some time revamping paintings ready for my ongoing exhibition at the Cittadella throughout December. This one was painted originally on a very stormy day, but I think the quieter sky looks better.
