Really excited as some friends and i are off to the big island, to Valletta, to see an exhibition of drawings and etchings by Picasso and Miro, today. Won't be able to do much on POL, till this evening!!!

Lovely work Thallia, the foreground and lake look more finished now. I did like the blue sky in the previous version but that's just me probably!

Thank you everybody for your kind comments. We get so few chances to see really big exhibitions so the Picasso and Miro were a real treat...I'm absolutely shattered now! I really did take notice of all your kind and considerate comments, Thanks Seth, Tessa...yeay,not sure about the Miro, and feel a few Minotaurs coming on, lol! Thanks Alan, Michael, Sandra, Linda, Stephen, I've actually not touched the sky...just shows how all your comments have helped, thanks Carole and Cesare. The exhibition was really great, and I loved the Picassos, there must have been over 100 of his etchings and drawings...stunning work in every way!

Thanks to everyone who helped with this, as you suggested, I made more of the foreground, and put a little more work into the sea. It is only a little study towards a larger painting on canvas which I will probably paint over the summer in the studio. Comments as to how it's looking will be gratefully received as always!
