A desirable residence indeed, Thalia. An architectural treat of a painting, with wonderful use of light and dark.

Super image, Thalia.

Love this, Thalia

Love the painting of the architecture Thalia and those lively rich Sienna and umber shades..

So very "Thalia"...lovely work.

Splendid composition, tones and washes Thalia.

Lovely. Love the way you have suggested detail (?washing) using loose watercolour.

Great perspective, subject and colour washes, love it, love the steps, Thalia.

What a great composition Thalia, you have really captured the light and dark in this beauty.

Thank you very much indeed, Brian, Lewis, Pete, Marilyn, Carole, Jim [ha ha...yes it is!!!]Thank you Michael, kind of you to say that, I did wonder whether I'd gone over the top on the darks! Thank you,Margaret, yes washing it is indeed! Out to catch the rays! Thanks Annick, that's very reassuring as I'm diffident about my use of perspective and this was a strange angle that the photo showed! Thanks Margaret, a really kind comment!

This is all round terrific Thalia, you are a magician with watercolour.

Super work Thalia, quite a tricky scene. Have to sell lots of paintings to live there lol!

It's already all been said, wonderful painting Thalia.

This is an area in Valletta now being developed. I was attracted to the deep dark area of the steps, which I tried to keep as loose as possible. Lord Byron hated all the steps in Valletta as he was slightly disabled! He famously remarked it was a city of 'yells, bells, and smells'!!! I hasten to add it no longer smells!!! The other 2 remain!!!
