Another Thalia beauty. Love the sky.

A place I always wanted to visit is Mdina, and Mosta (for the Rotunda dome and famous bomb). Love the painting, especially the mood and atmospheric subtleties. (weather) Brian

Excellent. This imposing place brings back memories. I was based in a beautiful old barracks there (hope it's put to better use now). I recall the colourful parades through the old town at certain times of the year. It was in Malta back in the late 1950's that I met an artist painting in the streets, he asked me if I painted...I said I liked to draw. He said 'draw something every day...anything.' Fond memories of another life.

Another Thalia beauty😀 you are making us all want to come there for holidays!!! Super work.

A lovely painting Thalia 😀

Beautiful, Thalia. I like the way the flowers/foliage in the foreground leads your eye around and through to the centre buildings.

Thank you very much Seth, Brian...yes it was humid, again!, very spectacular place, you must visit us!, Oh goodness, Lewis, yes the barracks are still there and are put to a very good use. They are a kind of therapy hostel for people with eating disorders, much needed here, I'm sorry to say. Thank you, Margaret, you would be most welcome! Thank you, Linda and Tessa, it was by chance I took this photo and the scene just shouted to be painted!

Thank you Maureen!

This depicts Mdina, formerly the capitol of the Maltese Islands, known as the silent city as cars are forbidden there, other than residents or for deliveries. This is an unusual take on this picture, I liked the way the little lane leads the eye towards the sunlit area...well, that was the intention. Hope it worked!
