Great finished piece, Thalia. Love it.

Very impressive - you've captured the essence perfectly.

It's a beautiful painting Thalia, well done 😃

Lovely work Thalia, and captured perfectly.

Thank you, Seth, Margaret, Avril, Linda, and Jim, you're very kind with your comments.

Brilliant light Thalia !!

Thank you Audrey for your kind comment

Beautiful fresh watercolour, Thalia.

You have caught the feeling of the hot day very well. Personally I feel it would make a better coposition if you cropped a little off the right hand side, making it a square proportion.

Nice work here Thalia, I love that loose foreground!!!!

Thank you very much, Cesare that's rellay kind of you, Stephen it's got it's face to the wall at the mo, as I want to see it freshly, later in the week, but for sure I'll think bout its format, thanks for that! Maybe, Guy, I'd had that nip by the time I got to the foreground...not that I'm a loose woman or anything!!! lol

Smashing piece Thalia

Thank you Derek!

Looks really good Thalia. Enjoyed reading about the way you approached it too.

Hang on Studio Wall

This is the painting from yesterday, I feel it says what I wanted to convey. It was mid day light, so overhead and not the best light to paint plein air in. I have deliberately not painted the right hand side too much. What attracted me was all the complicated radio masts and railings etc, and of course the ever present sea ducks and their families. It is painted on hot pressed Bockingford 300gsm, as I wanted the effects of the pale painted sea standing proud on the paper, making the special gentle backruns that hopefully happen on HP paper, then I glazed on the top, just suggestions here and there, as there were no ripples that day. Hopefully I've captured it ...
