I like the simplicity of this Tessa and the visible brushstrokes.

This is so sweet Tessa.

Thank you Marjorie and Denise. I started with my Fude pen but it doesn’t take kindly to paint, so I changed to other waterproof pens.

Great result Tessa. Even the sheep look cold.

Yes I think they were! Thank you Carole.

Beautifully done Tessa as the old saying less is more delightful because of it simplicity which take skill to achieve.

Love the colours, nicely done.

Really nice Tessa.

Thanks so much Dixie and Stephen. I do always welcome your comments. x

I love the sparseness of this Tessa….I have a thing about the unfinished look of a painting. Brill!

Great Fiona, you understand. I also have a fascination for the leaving of some space and don’t feel the necessity to fill every inch of a rectangle! Empty areas can have meaning.

👍 definitely!

A delightful painting Tessa.

Thanks again Fiona, Chris and Coral. 👍🏻

This is really good, like everything about it

Lovely, Tessa, simple but very effective with the addition of the pen work - and sheep always make a great subject.

Many thanks Heather and Jenny, and yes sheep are a good subject, and don’t move too fast- generally!

Thanks Martin. 🙂

Thanks a lot Spencer.

A4 on some decent watercolour paper which I sent for ages ago and have never used, hence I don’t know the name! My daily painting with pen and gouache. I said I wouldn’t use photos for these daily paintings but I did use a few for reference to get the correct sheep look. Cotswold sheep have a wild curly fleece which they wear in a sort of ringlet mop over their eyes, very characterful.
