Good bold work Tessa, nice brush strokes. What is the Patchings A5 exhibition?. I entered The Artist open comp earlier on, but never heard of this one.

Hi Alan. Not sure if the A5 is new. Certainly it’s the first time I’ve entered anything for it. You send for and pay £5 for each A5 size board which they prepare for either paint or drawings and they will hang all they receive (unframed) but the entry closed in November. They are all for sale and the exhibition runs until Christmas Eve. I found out about it in one of their newsletters a few months ago. They prepare the painting surfaces which I found really nice to use and would like to find out more about.

This was done for the Patchings A5 exhibition now on til 24 December, the first time I have entered for this. It’s an oil sketch painted en plein air.
