Thank you all for commenting and your kind wishes! It was pretty vile for the first few days but much better today, though won’t be drinking or staying up tonight for sure!!

Oh Tessa, I’m sorry you’re suffering at the moment, I hope you will be feeling much better very quickly. Wishing you all the best of health for 2023! Great tree.

Thank you Fiona. You may drink for me!!

Beautiful Tessa, my relative is just getting over covid and I came down with a sore throat yesterday. Hope it's just a sore throat. Hope you feel better soon.

Lovely picture to cheer us up, Happy new year 🎉

I like this very much. Hope your covid clears soon, and Happy New Year.

Many thanks Denise, Stephen and Lew: already feeling much better today. Hope you don’t get it Denise! 🤞xx

A wonderful tree Tess and a Happy New Year to you too

Thank you so much Valerie and Heather.

Beautiful tree, hope you feel better soon . Have a happy and creative 2023!!

Many thanks Romila and same to you for 2023! x

This is a really lovely painting Tessa. I love the contrast between the lines within the tree and the painted sections. So sorry to hear you had covid. It seems rife again at the moment!

Thanks Spencer for noticing the detail! Yes Covid etc seem to be everywhere at present. I suspect a lot of pre Christmas shopping may be involved! At least we were able to enjoy getting together with family before it hit us.

Lovely lively marks Tessa even if you’re not feeling so lively yourself. Get well soon. Happy New Year!!

Thanks Martin! Here’s to a healthy 2023!

Sorry you and family had a rough time Tessa, hope you all feel better soon. A beautiful tree, well done when you feeling poorly x

Many thanks Carole. Hoping to try some drawing later. 🙃

Best wishes to all of you, Tessa - what a great way to see in the New Year: rotten Covid. Must say, if I were feeling ill (which I was, prior to Christmas) I probably wouldn't be painting; unless maybe I too had received a Christmas present of paint - always hard to resist opening the tubes, examining the colours, and once you've done that you're more or less bound to have a dabble. And your painting works well.

Many thanks Robert. Yes, always difficult to resist the appeal of new arty stuff! I think we definitely are past the worst of it and looking forward to 2023.

Good to hear - my own, largely respiratory, infection hung on, went away, came back: only today have I started feel that my chest has stopped itching and gurgling!

Very glad you’re on the up Robert. I always enjoy your wit and wisdom. Since mentioning our lurgy to friends and family, it seems that just about everyone we know has been suffering in the last month or so, to one degree or another. My hubby has COPD so has to be extra careful re infection. I think after the last few years everyone has been determined to enjoy some degree of celebration this Christmas. Raise a glass if you can to Good health and art! x

I love your tree Tessa; it's beautiful! Sorry you have had covid over Christmas and hope you are feeling much better now. We had it in the run-up to Christmas but like you, I'm now eager to use some of Santa's gifts!

Although I did a year's Foundation Course at art college after leaving school, I hadn’t painted much in the interim, except for a few attempts…
