How lovely Tessa. With the colours it reminds me of the famous " Goldfinch" by Fabritius.

Thanks so much Dixie, Marjorie, Anjana and Thalia. Marjorie I had to remind myself of Fabritius Goldfinch, a compliment indeed, and a sad memory. I do love thrushes but we say very few around here, though do hear them occasionally.

This is simple and good and the way you've painted those feathers is lovely - not easy

He has that watchful eye and the pose is spot on Tessa.....a smashing study of these delightful birds.
