This is a delightful piece of art, Tessa. Nice to read that the Zorn palette is still being used. You have mixed the paints, which can be quite dark, to produce a bright a pleasing portrait.

Many thanks all. Sarah, she is indeed a sweetie! Carol, I did enjoy using the Zorn palette, and have used it occasionally. It does give a pleasing result for a portrait. Not sure if it’s ever used for non portrait painting?

Thank you Marjorie. The photo used was taken about a month ago on her first birthday, since then she has acquired the top two! Quite tricky to paint a mouth with only two gnashers. 🤣
