A lovely painting Tessa , glad you enjoyed doing it good reason to do some more and no excuse not too, but do take care of yourself.

Lovely oil painting Tessa ☺ nice you had fun too and Thank you yes I can't wait for Rome 😊

Lovely bridge Tessa. Does that mean you will be entering Landscape Artist of the year?

Thank you Dixie. It wasn’t me that had any health problem but the teacher whose class I went to for a couple of years who insisted we all use WS oils because he’d had problems himself and I suppose there’s a difference in a whole roomful of people using unpleasant solvents! Thank you Faye. Enjoy your holiday! Linda- thank you. I wouldn’t mind being one of the wildcards but don’t think I could cope with being one of the pod people!

Love this very gentle scene Tessa. It makes you want to be on that bridge looking down at the flowing water

Lovely oil painting Tessa and go for it re Landscape Artist of the Year

A super confidently painted landscape Tessa. Love the sense of distance and the way you have captured the movement and reflections on the surface of the water. A lovely scene beautifully painted.

Beautifully painted Tessa, real oils are best to work with.

I like how you’ve done the water here Tessa. The whole painting looks very fluid and harmonious.

Many thanks for your lovely comments and encouragement, Carole, Heather, Fiona, Lesley and Marjorie.

A great painting Tessa. I really like the way you’ve interpreted the ripples in the water and the arches of the bridge.

A beautifully painted bridge makes this a lovely painting Tessa.

Thanks so much Spencer and Carole. Much appreciated.

12x10”- my first attempt at ‘real oils’ for a few years and I really enjoyed it. (I’ve been using water mixable oils for health reasons). I visited Compton Verney for an exhibition recently and this is from photos and a sketch taken then.
