This lady is intriguing - she could be 14th century or modern; almost a nod to one of the old masters.

Really well painted. Great portrait and superb folds in the fabric and headscarf.

What better reason to paint anything? Superb work.

Five centuries ago it could've been a Holbein.

Only just seen this- fabulous painting and I concur with the other comments about it being timeless. Something of ‘The Handmaids Tale’ about it too.

The painting was done in oils on a 61x46cm canvas. The portrait was painted from an image that I seen online, that I found intriguing and somewhat mysterious!
