Excellent wall Sylvia. Great colouring.

I'm always drawn to the shapes and textures of a dry stone wall. I really like this one.

Lovely captured textures Sylvia. At first, when I saw the title I thought it was going to be Trump's Mexican wall !!

Ha ha Marjorie part of that is now going to be a fence. Thanks Jim and Diana ...and you Marjorie,

You have some lovely shades in the stones Sylvia, nicely worked. Don't hang your head in shame for using photo's I use them all the time and there's nothing wrong with that. You can capture the moment forever with a snapshot and refer to it when you wish.

Thanks for comment Margaret...I hear you but my way of working has always been from life or from indies my memories. I will use photos on occasion for reference. So I have lot of my own photographs I shall now put them to use.

Nice work Sylvia. whether you worked from your photo or from life its still a lovely old wall and you have made it look so.

Looks good Sylvia :)

Some lovely colours in there Sylvia, and they fit so snugly together. Very tactile.

The purples, yellows, oranges and Browns work stunningly together here Sylvia and the pen work on top finishes this off perfectly.

Can see you spent time and care with this Sylvia, lovely palette and so very good from phot or not!

Thank you everyone .

I went there this year on a cruise, but I don't recognise this wall! LOL Well done for drawing it, Sylvia - good job!

Oh shame Linda ...third house on the left , the one with the green door....you must remember it. Thanks for comments.

Great - nice choice of materials .

Thank you for your comment Helen.

Coloured pencil and black pen in A5 Moleskine sketch book. I worked this from a photograph I took a couple of years ago ( head hung in shame, I don't usually work from photographs). This was a wall on the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides it was surrounding the traditional Black Houses.
