Ha ha... Just realised her paddies are not on show...

Very good example of watercolour technique. Love it, wonderful picture.

This lovely loose painting epitomises all that I think watercolour should be. It is eloquent with the minimum of marks and it is just what I would wish to achieve myself! However, when it comes to watercolour I tend to run fast in the opposite direction. A lovely image Sylvia.

I do like your sketchbook, Sylvia! There is some great stuff in there.

Lovely loose technique - love the flowing pigment. (Going to pick up a JR puppy tomorrow !)

Love the loose style Sylvia

Looked even better when i clicked onto it - great wet in wet

This is marvellous, you've got her in a few brilliant strokes....more of these please :)

Thanks for looking everyone. Yes Lesley i must do more of these. Avril lucky you having a J R Pup. They really are a great dog. .

Congratulations Sylvia, this is perfect watercolour in it's true sense! Fluid, loose, full of character and so well achieved!

Well ..... you just keep getting better.... Now granted I'm saying this having followed your advice on taking a wee dram or two for my tooth, but I don't think my critical faculties have quite deserted me yet, so am confident in saying that this is REALLY good.... What inks did you use, I wonder? It's all the better for the fact that you went right in with the brush - on dampened paper? - and still got the proportions right: not easy, either it works or it doesn't, and this - did.

excellent control with confidence, super work

A really lovely piece, Sylvia - super washes and really lively.

Absolutely love this - both the style AND the dog, Great sketchbooks too

Just trawling through my sketch book. I found this, i did it a couple of months ago. Squeak dog (named by a grand child) she is a J R bitch... Very indolent and in need of a manicure. With her its a vet job... Maybe pale pink next time. This is her reclining in sleep mode . I used inks and a large brush. No drawing , it is in an a3 sketch book.
