A lovely sketch Sylvia! Lucky you to be able to see such wild places. I love the pencil marks, they are so free.

Not as wild and free, maybe, but I suspect the format has a lot to do with that - a long format seems to aid coastal and marine subjects. The pencil work adds vitality - by the way, I'd be thrilled to see a seal! We do occasionally get them off the coast here, or so I'm told, but I've not seen one in 61 years of infesting the Isle of Wight. As I remember, you do get a few off the Welsh coast.

You have manage to get a lot down in 20mins. Great picture.

It's a super sketch Sylvia, I love the colours and the lively pen marks.

Great immediacy, great sketoh Sylvia

Again on Skye. Long seven mile drive along a very hairy road, was fine until it suddenly appeared to vanish off the end of the world. Bit of a hike and then we found a "hide" Provided with binoculars and information. Apparently lots of sea life ,otters whales birds etc. All we managed were seals.and cormorants. Lovely spot so I did this on the walk back . another twenty min sketch. The stripes at the top are grass shadows. not quite as wild and free as the last one I posted.
