Time well spent Sylvia. You could have a "pop up" exhibition. How much longer are you in?

Lovely sketches, Sylvia.

Smashing sketches Sylvia, hope you are feeling better.

Great sketches Sylvia hope you get home soon! I penned you a sheep to make you feel better (hopefully) ;))

Will go look for your sheep Carole thanks. And for nice comments I think I'm in plaster for a couple of months though hopefully home very soon.

So sorry to hear that you are in hospital Sylvia, what has happened!? At least your drawing hand is safe so you can do something creative and that's good, it will pass the time. My best wishes for a full recovery. X

Thank you Satu.

Oh, bless your poor behind...doesn't half get sore, does it! Are you in Wrexham Maelor, Sylvia? And weekends are rather grim, I remember. I do hope you feel better very soon. Funny, but one of the first things I sketched in the Maelor was Staff doing the medicine round...Mine had a bigger bottom though!!! She fairly ploughed her way through! No stopping her!! Thinking of you , xx

Yes Ruth I'm in the Maelor for my sins. I'm hating the place more and more each minute.x

Well done Sylvia, these are super little sketches, your keenness shows many of us artist up, hope you get out soon and I wish you a swift recovery.

Perfect subjects when laid up as I remember well. These are good. My nurses said therapy so my wife brought my stuff in.

Thanks Derek, without my sketching gear I really would have gone nuts.

Thanks Alan.

These are great little sketches Sylvia. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Hi again, Sylvia...I started in Pantomime ward July 2014 following my road traffic accident ...I couldn't believe the name above the entrance when they wheeled me in there from A&E...but it was well named! Just keeping in touch while you are in the Maelor, the days seem endless, don't they...But I will say the food was good, especially the evening meal. I was there in the hot summer of 2014 for 2 weeks, then transferred to POW camp!!! (ie; Prince of Wales! ward) a couple of days after the op. Which incidentally is just above or below,( can't remember which, now) the cookhouse...we Sweltered! The nurses were fighting to nick fans for us from everywhere else to keep us cool, and a few of them were fainting from the heat in the process.....AH....Memories! Hope you are home very soon. Sleep well and if you can't then ask for a tablet! xx

Great stuff Sylvia superb sketches so full of life .. Hope you're fully recovered and fighting fit 😊

About the Artist
