I lived in Botswana for a while and recognize the senario you describe. Nature takes over very quickly in this part of the world. Marvellous character in the 'face' of the car, and lovely, lively colours.

I like this image Sylvia, It shows the end of a long and difficult journey....

Oh I love this, Sylvia. The Austin looks as though it could well be saying 'AH..H..H Peace and quiet at last, thank goodness!' He's even worn out enough to rest his head against a cactus...Ow! Lovely...

Me again...Ow! indeed. I wrote 'Austin' instead of' Morris.' Like him I haven't got my brain-box in gear, it must need a rest too! Sorry.

wonderful love the expression the austin has............

It looks like the car is under the water to me? It is a lovely painting though :--)

It could be under water...read water instead of sky. A whole new viewpoint.

Hope this hasnt come up twice. I have reprised this Morris Eight, as there seems to be a plethora of old cars on the gallery. This is acrylic on a square canvas. I sketched it in the Namib desert at a small, watering hole miles from anywhere. It fascinated me... how did it get there all of the cactus growing in and around it, how? why?
