Nice pencil and crayon sketch Sylvia, you poor thing, it must be getting you down so well done for still having a go.

It seems a long haul Sylvia, but hope you are improving well. I like your drawing, the dressing table gives it a quirky look so very interesting. Is that your feather boa on the windowsill for when you get out on the town? Cheers🍷X

Carole it could be a feather boa I promise I will have a knees up after all of this. Thanks Alan at least I can sit and draw . I think we are blessed to have an interest in drawing/sketching as there is always something to look at. Though I might be reduced to my bright pink plaster cast. Thank you both of you for looking.

Smashing drawing of a subject so close, so familiar and so accessible- there are loads of them. Hope you're not bed ridden for too long, that's if you are.

This is terrific Sylvia, you have beautiful things around you and what better subjects. You will be back on your feet again soon and there will be no stopping you! You have the perfect opportunity to turn your pink plaster cast into the next Turner prize winner, get stuck into it with your pencils. You will be the envy of the out patients dept! lol

Hope you have books to read as well. You could get RSI with too much drawing! but this is lovely. I always admire people that draw with coloured pencils - its such hard work and you have done a good job here!

Derek , Fiona and Linda. Thank you for commenting...it's lovely to have someone to chat to. I must admit the gallery , the forum and good old F B are being life savers. It's just good to talk with lovely like minded people. The pink plaster is being thought about right this minute , and never I thought of the Turner prize but if a mucky bed can be runner up then a graffitied plaster cast could also be a contender.

Nice one Sylvia, now we can imagine you relaxing in your lovely bedroom. I hope hubby is looking after you, have you got a little bell to ring when you need him?? Keep drawing.

I didn't know you had not been well, Sylvia - but I do hope things are better now. I love your little vignette of your view from your bed and I do admire you for even doing it if things aren't so good for you now and you are stuck there. Take care, Thea.

Thank you Margaret and Thea.... not been my best year Thea. Had a nasty removed in June . Latest to chapter of nasties is a compound fractured tibia I'm into my third month of immobility.... these things are sent to try us. But I would love a shower...

OMG Sylvia - what a dreadful time you are having. I do so hope that your recovery is going in the right direction and you will be firing on all cylinders very soon. And, I have to say, very brave of you to keep on producing lovely art work. at such a difficult time. Every best wish.

Poor you Sylvia at least you're keeping he bright side out , I like this some lovely details going on no time can pass so quickly when one is being creative

Thanks Dermot. You are so right if you have pencil and paper time really can be happily passed, aren't we the lucky ones .n

About the Artist
