A striking piece Sylvia. The dark background and limited colours make it very dramatic and if it’s large, I bet it looks fabulous in the flesh!

It looks cool and sinuous. It could well be finished, you don't need any more but I bet you keep glancing at it for a while yet. This will really stand out when it's hung.

Really like the convoluted journey of the flowers and grasses. There is a sense of mystery within the painting. Feels as if something is about to spring out of the shadows.

Your Gerstacking it up Sylvia. Beautiful cool greens.

Yes, a real eye-catcher and no mistake. It's gorgeous, Sylvia. Bri

A striking piece indeed Sylvia, most impressive.

Thank you for your positive and kind comments everyone , 🌻

Just love it Sylvia, stunning, so good to have you back again.

It’s really eye catching, Sylvia. Very bold, and a difficult subject with all those greens.

This is really eye-catching, Sylvia, great composition and colours - and the black background sets it off so well.

Thanks Sandra , Ellen and Jenny. The background is a mix of Prussian blue and cad red. The greens are lemon yellow and Prussian blue and varying amounts of Zinc mixing white . Plus Titanium white , so I actually only used two colours in the actual painting ( not background ) , I surprised myself on how many shades of green it produced.

A lovely painting Sylvia, I've been following your progress with this on the forum, " out of small sketches, beautiful paintings grow!!! " Linda 😀

This has turned out really well Sylvia, the dark background shows the flowers and grass off so good. Excellent work😀😀

Thanks for comments Linda ,Margaret and Russell. It was a lovely therapeutic painting to make Varnish today .

That's a definite WOW! So much drama with that dark background. A real stunner, if it's big even more so, Sylvia!

it looks finished to me Sylvia excellent

I spotted some of this growing up a telegraph pole today Sylvia. A very striking painting made me think of Georgia O'Keefe, no doubt given its size, it looks even more impressive in the "flesh".

Thank you for looking and commenting... I know the pic you are thinking of Val , I’m a great admirer of Georgia O Keefe . But I promise it didn’t influence me. I thought about it afterwards .

Wonderful flowers, Sylvia.

This is a WOW, Sylvia. Very striking and beautifully painted.
