Many thanks Margaret Derek and Adele for your very kind comments. As a change from my trees and rivers I thought i would paint boats as inspired by LP magazine. I have torn out most of my remaining hair while painting this as it wasnt a walk in the park. I will steer clear of harbours in future !

As you mentioned on the forum - not easy to find. Got there in the end. Looks like it was worth your struggles. You are a very active man. It obviously ensures longevity. Keep it that way.

Nice scene, Syd. You have portrayed tranquillity, and industry in a pleasing format. I like your tonal washes in the background they let the viewer see what's going on without over doing it, and keeping the focus in the foreground. Lovely work.

Good to see you posting Syd and this is a smashing little watercolour of my favourite subject which is boats. I must agree with comments currently on the forum that our work disappears so fast off the front page. My posting on Monday lasted all of an hour before disappearing into the archives, I do wish is could be restricted to two postings at the most. Alan
