Hi Suze. You have a lovely gallery but the reason that you haven't got as many comments as you deserve is because you've posted too many paintings all in one go! The gallery guidelines say not to post too many. There is a reason for this. When someone makes a multiple posting (as they are called :), it results in an artist's work that was posted just before yours being pushed back several pages and not being seen by many people. Had you posted just one or two, I would have looked closely but too many and I just skim over them and don't look too closely. Don't take this the wrong way, as I said, your work is good, but one or two postings at any one time would be better and you'd definitely receive many more comments.

Hi Louise, thank you so much for your comment, I didn't know this and must admit it hadn't studied the gallery guidelines to closely. I had only posted one painting ages ago and thought I should post some more, I got a bit carried away as couldn't decide on which ones to post. Can I now remove some ? and would this be a good idea ? I'm new to this and want, obviously, to do the right thing. I really appreciate the comments and find them very constructive.

walking through Venice last September I came across this Gondolier. I just love the casual "alone-ness" of him, and the ageless image of this backwater with the washing hanging and the beautiful colours of water and walls.
