This a painting of Adam Cooper who was the first Principal swan in Matthew Bourne's all male Swan Lake. I painted it for my friend's 60th birthday present as this is her favourite Ballet. I'm happy to say she loved it. I have seen this ballet about 3 times and each time I'm moved by the fierceness and passion of the "swans". I have tried to capture some of that in my painting.
