Peruvian Scene #8.
The original is by Peruvian artist Hugo Lecaros. It was in rather staid colours, typical of local vistas. I painted that but then found it too dull. So, here is my impression of how i would like the village to look. I wanted vibrant and colourful. I overpainted my work. The glow of the neon acrylic colours now reduced somewhat as they were painted on top of the water colours (various shades of sepia), except for the belltower which remained white and therefore is a brilliant yellow.
