Thanks Ibolya! I just paint what I see! Had to laugh.

Thanks again Michael!

Love the humour in your excellent work and how very true this one is. The composition in this one is so good and I do like his trainers. As for the topical subject, not only are some attached to their phones, usually there's that obligatory bottle of water or coffee cup in the other hand. How did we ever survive?

Oh gosh, thanks very much indeed Louise! Really appreciate your comments.

Thanks again Maureen

Love the humour and the truth of this as "art appreciation" Sue. So apt too. Nice work.

Super painting, Sue. Very real. Like all your posts.

Apart from it being such a beautifully painted piece, it’s humorous as well as quite sad. I was talking to someone recently about younger people more interested in screens than stunning scenery and wildlife around them. Superbly captured

Great idea and execution...

Thanks Jim - tahts what I hope to convey, so am grateful for your comments.

Thank you so much Lewis!

Thank you David H, and Lewis. Appreciate your feedback!

Thanks Margaret!

I love this, it's brilliant Sue.

I couldn't believe the irony - I was in a major Art Gallery - with some of the world's best artworks on show, and this young man was totally engrossed in his phone!! And to add insult to injury, so were the room stewards!

About the Artist
Sue Ransley

I paint everyday folk, and may take a poke, but it's done with warmth and affection! My folk fill their space, just a mere hint of place, it's more about telling their story. They're honest and real, for me that's the appeal, sharing ordinary everyday moments. So if I've got it right…
