Your technique has worked very well!

Works well. In that crossfeed between representational and abstract. Has the patterned feel of a modern quilt. Either call your card a palette knife and become respectable, or include it the inner meaning of your painting... how money shapes our world? Guess which Mr Hockney would do?

Thanks Owen. You make a very fair point. However, since 100% of any of my sales always go to charities dealing with the homeless - perhaps I'm excused this time. I'll now ditch using old credit cards and use old AA breakdown and National Trust cards in future.

I often find complex industrial scenes a source of inspiration. Although this painting shows a large container vessel being loaded, I hope that the composition and colours work irrespective of the actual subject matter. This is a large painting and was almost exclusively painted using the edge of a credit card to apply and drag colours. I seem to be using this method more and more often. I must hide them and revert to brushes.
