I do like a splash of red.... I'm a bit resistant to abstracts, for reasons which aren't entirely clear to me: eg, I like Rothko, but have never graduated to Cy Twombly or Howard Hodgkin; I like Pollock (almost alone on POL, it sometimes seems) but Billy Childish just seems to me to be very well named, and as dull as the Manchester Ship Canal on a wet day. So my standards are obviously idiosyncratic at best. But even I can appreciate a dynamic and vibrant work, which this is. So - while hoping you don't abandon figurative work, because some of us need to stick to it: this is good.

Dynamic and vibrant puts it very well. To me it is a red waterfall. I'm always interested in people's abstracts, I started out that way but seem to have lost the knack.

That's a great abstract Michael, a real one and I love it!

I like this a lot, good sense of depth and great colours

Haven't painted an abstract for about 5 or 6 years, so it is nice to return and do something different. This is 40cmx40cm on a canvas panel and put into a ready made frame which I found in my studio.
