In the Garden, May.

Comments

You are lucky that it’s warm enough to sit out and paint Stephen, it’s still quite cool up here. Nice one.

Many thanks Fiona, it is quite sheltered in the back garden. The large Convent building blocks the wind. Probably cooler now though,

Very nice, Stephen - with the sunlight catching the fence.

Many thanks Anne and Michael. Nice play on words there too Michael! The centre is now owned by the Coptic church, helping disabled children, which seems a fitting use for an old Christian centre.

Started as a quick line and wash but got a bit carried away! Enjoyed myself in unusually sunny weather. The smaller building in the trees, used to be a small Catholic girls school, run by the nuns from the ex convent to the right. The girls all had pretty boater type hats with ribbons. Funny what you remember.

About the Artist
Stephen Slater

I am a self taught amateur painter, I mostly paint landscapes in watercolour but I 'dabble' in other mediums from time to time. I really enjoy my art, especially painting outdoors when the weather allows.
