Of course we can greatly improved Stephen

I missed the 1st one Stephen but this looks fine even with alterations.

Many thanks Dennis and Derek for your kind remarks. It's interesting how different works look on the Internet compared to the original. Darks seem very dark, the trees on this one looked black before I lifted some colour off, perhaps it's a good test to see the image on the screen?

A very good composition Stephen. The foreground shadows help to lead the eye further into the picture and provide a greater sense of depth.

Like this one Stephen, I like the foreground shadow it works well and gives the painting depth .

Many thanks once again Dennis.

A very pleasant scene well painted Stephen, has a good feeling of a sunny day.

Many thanks Frank and Carole for your encouraging words.

Thoughtt this looked a bit dark, especially online. So I lifted some of the dark on the trees and bushes and adding more yellow and a hint of some flowers. I also strengthened the shadow on the house roof and imagined a tree out of shot on the left, enabling me to extend the forground shadow. I thought I would repost to show we can adjust watercolours.

I am a self taught amateur painter, I mostly paint landscapes in watercolour but I 'dabble' in other mediums from time to time. I really enjoy my art, especially painting outdoors when the weather allows.
