Rather lovely watercolour Stephen, no greater master than EW.

Many thanks Alan, much appreciated.

A very nice watercolour, looks great.

A good watercolour Stephen, love those puddles.

Caught my eye straight away. Great colours and love the sky.

Many thanks, Paul, John and Sandra for your encouraging words. It all looks so easy, when you look at top artists work. But if you study them you realise how much thought and planning goes into them. E.W. Often used that 'trick' of having puddles in just the right place to reflect trees, poles etc. To add interest.

An excellent study of the great man Stephen but it has lots of yourself also.

What a lovely painting, Stephen! really watery! Well caught!

Many thanks, Fiona and Thalia.

After the rain, looks so fresh Stephen.

Really good work, Stephen

Many thanks Maureen.

Painted this little watercolour at the art group tonight, from one of Wesson’s lovely watercolours. Like how he has placed the puddles so the poles reflect in them, also how he has used counterchange to create interest in the overlapping foliage. Why don’t I remember to do that!

About the Artist
Stephen Slater

I am a self taught amateur painter, I mostly paint landscapes in watercolour but I 'dabble' in other mediums from time to time. I really enjoy my art, especially painting outdoors when the weather allows.
