I really like this Stephen.This has to be one of your best.You got the lights and darks spot on leading to counterchange in the right areas.

Many thanks everyone for your very encouraging comments. It's strange how things work better, using a sketch rather than a photograph. Perhaps there is too much info contained in a photo? Whereas with a simple sketch we can add as little or as much detail to our basic sketch, as we judge to be right? Answers on a postcard! It did improve a lot when I added the strong foreground shadows.

Because of illness, I was away from P-o-L for a long time - am only just getting back. But on my return, the first thing I noticed among all the artists on this site, was the tremendous development in your work - in style, in confidence and in presentation. Very well done Stephen.
