It's lovely Stephen. The pastels add some depth and texture.

Lovely hazy day, the pastel does lift it Stephen.

Many thanks Henry and Carole for your encouraging comments.

What a good idea Stephen, it's worked a treat.

Many thanks Alan and Ivan.

I keep meaning to get a hake Stephen well haked

Many thanks Dennis, I like that phrase 'well haked'. I remember one of Ron's comments, no not the fish it's a goat hair brush you fool!

Super combination Stepehen used to great effect. I have a hake, I think I've only used it a couple of times.

Many thanks Fiona, worth a try, they are quite cheap, get the so called small one, they hold a lot of water. I think they are better than a large flat, as you can get a softer effect with them.

Like this Stephen. The hazy background is great and the pastel adds to the foreground.

You've really captured a lovely summer's day. Hazy, lazy

Many thanks for your comments Adele and Gudrun.

Love the hazy look of this Stephen and the way you have blended the water

Someone posted a Ron Ranson type loose watercolour recentlly, so I found my old trustyHake and did quick-imaginary scene but it turned out a bit muddy so I added some Patel in the foreground.
