And you have produced a delightful sketch Stephen, lot's of strong contrasts, you should continue with this medium for a while and develop it further, excellent, one of your best. Figures are great, perhaps a little more work on the big tree as in a few more smaller branches towards the outer edges, but damn good all the same.

I like the mix of charcoal and watercolour Stephen, something I've never tried. It's a good result, does the charcoal give it a softness?

Many thanks everyone for your very kind comments. I'm pleasantly surprised by the response to this quick sketchy work. It just shows once again that simple scenes often work best, I think working from the imagination helps, as we don't really imagine details just the basic idea do we?
