Tandle Hill 2

I prefer the second one, this one, because of the stronger tones - but then, I'm a bit of a lad for strong tones. Well done for getting anything down in watercolour out in the field - I'm finding coloured pencils very useful for outdoor sketching, because I can't carry much around with me. Like the fresh colours in these two, and the seizing of the moment element about them.

Another lovely piece, Stephen. I like both equally, each has a different atmosphere that's equally appealing.

Anothe great watercolour, I like the stronger tones in this one.

Many thanks, Robert, Seok and Fiona, for your encouraging comments.

Being an artist who doesn't work en plein air (apart from sketching that is) I really applaud you for capturing this - good tones and depth

many thanks once again Michael.

I also prefer the second one as it seems to have been painted more confidently. Nicely executed.

Thank you Thea for your encouraging comments.

I am a self taught amateur painter, I mostly paint landscapes in watercolour but I 'dabble' in other mediums from time to time. I really enjoy my art, especially painting outdoors when the weather allows.
