This is the kind of painting that really socks it to me - desaturated colours, but strong tones and powerful shapes, great vistas and sense of distance: a landscape that could be either welcoming or threatening depending on weather conditons and one's reaction to wide open spaces that can overwhelm.

The way you’ve achieved the perspective of the distant view and the atmospheric mist slowly burning off in the sunlight it’s so good.
