I like the way the gargoyle looks defiant and calm , a tribute to the fire fighters .

An excellent response. I don't know why I didn't do something similar. As we saw the dark outline of the bell against the hot flames, I remembered the time that I climbed the steeple and saw that bell up close, with the gargoyles staring on. thanks you.
