Lovely style Shirley, and those earth colours are gorgeous. Yes, I think it is, it’s the same as having a picnic and all the other stuff. I’m in the most vulnerable group, so sadly I can’t! But I don’t know if that’s law! Confusing!!!

Like the spontaneous wet in wet and strong contrasting values and overall warmth

Lovely bold earth colours and painting, Shirley

Lovely painting of the Summer we would all like to see and enjoy.

Great earthy nature exists to be appreciated there.

In England you can as long as you keep up social distancing. I checked with a man who understands these things. How vulnerable you are and how going out could jeopardize your health is a judgement call guided by medical advice. If you have had a letter, then total isolation is probably best!

Lovely painting Shirley I like your bold application of paint.

Thank you so much for these lovely comments. And the observations about lockdown. I think I’m OK if I keep my distance. Haven’t had a letter, and sorry that you have, Alan. Boo. I hope you have got plenty to chew on at home. I am finding that painting from the imagination is more entertaining than I thought!

Revisiting a picture from 2018 en Plein air, which makes me want to get out and paint now. Is it OK to do that now??
