My eyes keep dancing around the image and yet never fall off the edge - a mark of good composition and what a lovely riot of colour.

Such nice things you have said, thank you. It was a bit of a hodge podge I think, but the coloured pencils were great because they reacted with the paint puddles in interesting ways.

Hang on Studio Wall

Water colour this afternoon. Put some oily stuff on the paper in places, which acted as a resist. Had to resort to water soluble coloured pencils as well to get some details.

Always loved drawing and painting. Studied biology at UEA, PGCE at Sussex, then part-time art studies at Sussex and Brighton, including printmaking. Before Covid I gave a little weekly watercolour class for 7 years. Now I am using acrylics on canvas and paper en plein air whenever possible.
