Misty walk

Comments

Shirley I absolutely love this! Fabulous brush marks and that line of light above the horizon is brilliantly placed. It’s alive.

Ooh thanks, Fiona! I feel a bit more in control of my acrylics. The more you do the more you learn, it’s true!

Yet another beauty Shirley

This is so expressive Shirley with those wonderful confident brush strokes.

Thank you Dennis and Diana, much appreciate your comments.

Just hangs together really well, Shirley.

Real sense of drama, chill and wind! Very immediate. Must have been a great walk.

A wintry look with interesting brush marks, Shirley

Love this Shirley, beautiful colours and great atmosphere.

Expressive work, love the palette

Wonderful textures in this Shirley and great colours. You must be really fit with all the walking and swimming you do! I often wonder what size your paintings are and what brushes you have used to create your effects.

Lovely work Shirley May.

Excellent Shirley.

So good Shirley!

Thank you very much for these comments. In answer to you, Diane, this canvas is 30 x 22 cm. The hawthorn pic was 30 x 30cm. The Lewes cliffs pic was 50 x 40cm. Plein air things are 28 x 20 cms or thereabouts. I have loads of brushes, and palette knives, and just put the brush to soak and get another to avoid mud, with the acrylics. With gouche I use 3 brushes, a No. 9 prolene round, and a prolene rigger, and a small angled flat. Hope that is helpful.
