Nice one Ron. Took me back to jazz club days in the fifties.

Those were the days, Tubby Hayes in a pub down Jamaica Road Bermondsey. I remember it well.

I use to see him at the Flamingo Club . Your name sounds familiar to me and I can't remember where from.

I don't know where our paths may have crossed. Briefly born in Battersea, brought up in Bromley, Able Seaman in the Merchant Navy thru' my twenties, then into engineering drawing offices, now retired and living on Sheppey. I have a go at playing a tenor sax on occasions.

Love it Ron, great effect and it plays the music. I'm hearing "Baker Street"

Thank you Ron . I was brought up in Southwark, Dad from Bermondsy. I also played the tenor sax.

I think the pub I some times frequented was the Lilliput ? nr. Tower Bridge. I have a memory of one foggy night close to the river there and Eddie Thompson (the blind pianist) came in and played 'A Foggy Night in London Town'. A beautiful memory.
